Andrew Czarnietzki explores how challenging and rewarding building real-world virtual reality crane simulations can be. In his presentation on Under the VR Crane Sim Hood: Explore Simulation Design, Andrew demonstrates how physics applies to different rigid bodies, cables, and boom applications and translates these components to a real-to-life training simulation. We explore how mathematic and real-world components affect the process and outcomes of performing lifts. What are the effects of weights on the crane (boom, cable, load)? Access this on-demand presentation on realizing how changes in physics when performing a lift, select crane types, and different environments all play a significant role in developing ITI VR Crane Simulations.
