Luis Aguilar serves as the CEO for the Health and Safety Council. He was a Professor at the University of Honduras before starting his career as an engineer working for Bechtel, focusing on control systems throughout North and South America. Shortly after the 1989 Greater Houston Area industrial explosion, a task force led by Luis was created to form a third-party learning center. Over the past 31 years, he has continued to lead the effort and growth of HASC through innovation and the creation of technological advancements.
Thomas Barrett has served as the Director of Learning & Development at Manson Construction Co. since 2020. Prior to that he worked as Principal Consultant for Performance by Design and spent 10+ years as the Executive Director for NWCI/MACTC. He holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction/Educational Philosophy from Virginia Tech.
Trina Baughman is a United States Marine Corps Veteran who has 20+ years’ experience working for Liebherr. She started in an Admin Support role and worked her way up to Service Manager. In January 2022 Trina was appointed Product Manager - Digital Services, working with the MyLiebherr portal. Trina provides direct product support to all Liebherr customers throughout the United States.
Cristin Bolton has been with RES since the acquisition of System 3 in 2015. Today she is a Senior Manager, HSQE where she’s overseen safety-related training since 2018. Cristin also works as the Administrator for RES Group’s Apprenticeship Program.
Dave has been involved in the software development and customer service delivery since the beginning of his professional career. He has accrued a wealth of experience from a variety of industries including petroleum distribution, where he held roles as software development product manager and IS Director, the public sector where he served as the CIO of the Oregon Department of Justice, and the crane industry where he was the general manager of Axis Crane, a customer of FCC. His experience on both sides of the software industry gives him a unique perspective.
Heath Hooker has been with Nucor-Yamato Steel for 22 years, serving as crane operator, crane crew leader, and since 2018, as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor. In 2016, Heath was a founding member of the Nucor Rigging Team and is a member of the Nucor Crane Expert Group.
Andrew has over 20 years' experience in the management and implementation of advanced education programs. With a special interest in industrial skills training, Andrew guided TPC Training Systems to become a market leader. He currently sits on multiple boards is the past Chair of The International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET). Andrew's history with ITI goes back a number of years, with him officially joining the company full time in 2021.
Kary Meadows has been a part of Barnhart’s Training and Implementation Department for the last three years, working as a Training and Implementation Manager. He has over 21 years’ experience in Small Business ownership and Industrial Sales, including several years spent at Konecranes.
Jennifer joined Bechtel in 2008 as a Civil Field Engineer and has more than 16 years of experience in heavy industrial construction. Jennifer joined Innovation in 2019 and is currently serving as one of Bechtel’s Corporate and Nuclear, Security & Environmental Innovation Managers based out of Houston, TX. In Jennifer’s current role, she is not only responsible for identifying new and innovative solutions to improve safety, quality, schedule, and cost, but actively works with project teams to drive adoption across the enterprise to change the way we approach Innovation in Construction.

Zack has served ITI professionally since 2009 but grew up working in the business during summer-breaks for as far back as he can remember. Prior to becoming President and CEO in 2015, he worked as a part of the company in Sales, Marketing, Bookstore, E-Learning and Operations. Zack holds a double-major BS in International Business & Marketing from Hawaii Pacific University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Ken Reynolds has 20 plus years’ experience in lifting and hoisting. He has supported various lines throughout Shell’s Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream businesses, and has provided L&H support for Shell’s transitional businesses in Energy: solar, wind, methane capture, and hydrogen. Mr. Reynolds’ current role of Industry Safety Standards advisor is to facilitate the transition from internal standards to industry safety standards. He participates on ASME, API, IOGP, and other industry trade associations.
Pat Richie works with executive teams to quickly and effectively apply the concepts captured in all of Patrick Lencioni’s books. Prior to joining the Table Group in 2004, he helped to build high performing teams as part of five Super Bowl Champions with the San Francisco 49’ers. He also worked with the San Francisco Giants for 13 years. He is the author of two books on leadership and has spoken to over 500 unique audiences in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
Curtis Rodgers is an industrial technologist and investor at Brick & Mortar Ventures, with six years of construction process improvement experience at both Kiewit and McCarthy Construction — across federal, industrial, infrastructure, and commercial markets. Curtis founded The Society for Construction Solutions (SCS) in 2014, contributed to the NASA Centennial 3D Printed Habitat Challenge, and participated as a lecturer for the US Dept. of Energy's Project Leadership Institute.
Bret Shields has spent over 23 years working within the crane and heavy equipment business. He boasts a 20-year career with Kiewit Construction Company where he began as a Maintenance Engineer and worked his way up to becoming a Corporate Crane Manager. Bret is now in his fourth year with Buckner Heavylift Cranes, where he is the VP of Operations and Safety.
Wayne Wille joined Crosby in 2016 and has been in the scale and force measurement industry for over 29 years. He's held a variety of roles from technical support, product training, product development, and developing and supporting distribution networks. Wayne currently works with distributors and end-users with a focus on implementing wireless technology within the rigging industry.
Martin Winziers has been working as a part of the crane industry for over 27 years. He specializes designing and teaching training programs, as well as providing technical support to those working in the shop and field. He has written numerous technical support documents and excels in producing electrical hardware and software designs.
