Cheryl Hoskin, P.Eng.

Lead Estimator, JV Driver

Cheryl Hoskin is a Lead Estimator with JV Driver in Alberta. She began the Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering Program on January 6, 2015 and completed it on July 8, 2016. She is the fifth person and the first female to complete the full program.

Cheryl invested in 220 hours of training; including, attending a Master Rigger Course at ITI’s Edmonton Training Center as one of her electives.

Mobile Crane Operator Virtual Reality Survey Results

Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-generated perspective that allows the user to experience an altered reality environment. The latest generation of VR headsets fit around the user's head and over their eyes, visually separating him or her from whatever space they are physically occupying. Images make up the simulated reality and are feed to the user using two small lenses. Through VR headset, a user can virtually climb Mt. Everest, experience the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower, explore the Amazon or experience a movie as one of the main characters.
