Marco van Daal on Specialized Transport Engineering

“Ever since the Crane and Transport industry became sizable industries there has been a demand for qualified rigging engineers. Experience has learned that these are hard to find. While in college and university there are no Rigging Engineering studies. Junior engineers learned from qualified Rigging Engineers in the hope that one day that would become one. The qualified Rigging Engineers obtained their knowledge from learning things the hard way and this didn’t always go right the first time.

Slowly but surely our industry recognized that in order to perform work in a safe and justifiable way, we have to educate our youngsters. Nowadays there are many companies that have some sort of educational system implemented but none are as professional, detailed and complete as ITI’s Rigging Engineering program. And this is not just a statement, this is a proven fact based on the large number of individuals that have taken the course. This program is so well designed that it is supported by some of the world’s largest EPC contractors as well as Heavy Lift & Transport companies. In addition, organizations such as ASME/IACET and LEEA have recognized the value of this program as well and have approved and accredited it. It is the best thing out there today.”
