Ground Conditions Courses ITI Currently in Development in Collaboration with DICA
- 2 courses currently in development – Ground Conditions & Outrigger Equipment Support and Ground Conditions & Crawler Equipment Support
- Q2 launch expected
- ITI Design & Development Studio is requesting TAG member feedback and review
Industrial Training International (ITI), and DICA (https://dicausa.com/), proudly announce a collaboration on a content collection focused on ground condition and preparation when using mobile cranes. The initial courses to come from the collaboration are expected to launch in Q2 2021 and are titled Ground Conditions & Outrigger Equipment Support and Ground Conditions & Crawler Equipment Support, respectively.
As part of the development process, the ITI Design & Development Studio is looking for technical advisory group (TAG) members to review the courses and provide feedback. The TAG framework has been utilized previously to develop a number of projects including, the ITI VR Crane Simulator, articulating boom crane operator curriculum, suspended personnel platform (SPP) curriculum, and the VR Construction Hazard Identification Assessment. There are no formal prerequisites for prospective TAG members. Ground conditions TAG members will receive early access to course content and will have the opportunity to interface with the development team ahead of the official course launches. Specific insight into the courses storyboard, learning objectives, and learner experience is desired, however TAG members are not obligated to perform any specific deliverables, and those hoping to simply review the content are welcome. Jonathan Parnell, SVP - Product Development, ITI commented, “We look forward to making this important subject matter available to ITI customers, and the industry as a whole. The importance of ground conditions when mobile cranes are in use cannot be overstated, as following best practices in this area literally provides the foundation to any successful crane pick.”
“To be able to work in partnership with an organization like DICA continues to be a blessing. Even before the project officially started, their expertise in this arena has been abundantly clear. It is no accident that DICA is the gold standard when it comes to ground preparation and outrigger pads.”
