Last November, we posted five free crane and rigging training resources that were readily available to anyone with internet access. The idea was to gather up legitimate tools and references in one user friendly bundle, without having to sift through any of the bad information that resides online. Response to the initial article was so positive, that we set out to find more high impact crane and rigging tools to share. So, here are five MORE free crane and rigging resources for your arsenal.

Crane & Rigging Associations
A number of non-profit associations exist within the crane and rigging industry. While these organizations cover different aspects of cranes, rigging, hoisting, and safety, they share the common goal of bettering the industry as a whole. Crane and rigging associations include:
- Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals (ACRP) - ACRP is a non-profit association whose mission is dedicated to improving crane operations and rigging activities in all industries.
- American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) - ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education, and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world.
- Association of Wire Rope Fabricators (AWRF) - AWRF promotes interests common among companies manufacturing, fabricating, or distributing lifting, rigging, and load securement devices made of chain, rope, and synthetic products.
- Web Sling & Tie Down Association (WSTDA) - WSTDA is a tax-exempt, non-profit, technical association dedicated to the development and promotion of voluntary recommended standards and associated reference materials.
- Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) - SC&RA is committed to providing the unique information and any other lawful activities members need to safely, legally and profitably transport, lift, and erect oversize and overweight items.
A number of other associations and organizations are a vital part of the crane and rigging industry.
