Industrial Training International (iti.com) hosted nearly 200 people during its January edition ofthe ITI Showcase Webinar Series. Guest speaker Kevin O'Neill, PE, Project Engineer at Siefert Associates stole the show Friday, January 11, 2013 with a presentation dedicated to the fundamentals of lift planning in construction environments utilizing mobile cranes.
Mr. O'Neill's presentation intrigued viewers with ITI President/CEO Mike Parnell hosted Mr. O'Neill and assisted with the Question & Answer segment following the presentation. Mr. O'Neill is a member of the Lift Planning ASME P30 Main Committee which Mr. Parnell is the Chair. He and Siefert Associates are experts in the engineered lift planning field and they also conduct structural and geotechnical engineering services. snapshots of several lift plan documents and how he goes about his business. In a new development, ITI has grouped the Showcase Webinar Series into its ITI Webinars Division which produces live, webinar-training courses. The Webinar Training Courses began in 2010 with a 4-hour Lift Director & Site Supervisor course. ITI has planned several open-enrollment Webinar Training Courses for 2013 and will continue offering the monthly Showcase Webinar Series free of charge.

Industrial Training International (iti.com) hosted over 250 HSE professionals during its October edition of the ITI Showcase Webinar Series titled "10 Audit Points for your Crane & Rigging Operations: An HSE Perspective".
ITI President/CEO Mike Parnell reflected on 10 items that HSE teams and auditors should look to in examining their organizations activities. In addition, participants weighed in during several poll questions that helped describe the makeup of their companies crane and rigging activities from the HSE perspective.
On this month's webinar over 25 countries were represented including 34 US States and 5 Canadian Provinces. Industrial Training International (iti.com) has doubled its employee head-count in the last 28 months adding instructors in the USA and Canada and business professionals at its corporate headquarters in Woodland, Washington. In upcoming months ITI will be adding human capital in marketing and administration in Woodland as well as its new branch office in Edmonton, Alberta. Recent hires include:
- Joe Kuzar, Instructor - Mr. Kuzar is an experienced mobile crane operator and has significant background in civil, oil & gas, transportation, and commercial construction. Mr. Kuzar lives in Virginia and joined ITI on April 16, 2012 with ITI. He has made a significant impact with major clients upon the commencing of his career in education.
- Patrick Cotnoir, Instructor & Business Development - Mr. Cotnoir hails from Vancouver, British Columbia and has been with ITI since April 30, 2012. His expertise lies in wire rope and rigging applications as well as sales management. Mr. Cotnoir has been exposed to a variety of industries and brings a great deal of management and interpersonal skills to ITI.
- Les Bernier, Instructor - Mr. Bernier began his career with ITI on May 7, 2012 and calls Lakeland, Florida home. He has a great deal of experience in public speaking and training from the rigging distribution business and maintains core competencies in wire rope and rigging. Mr. Bernier has made a splash with ITI and customers maintaining seemingly endless energy and enthusiasm.
- Steve Miles, Instructor & Technical Support - Mr. Miles has a great deal of experience in machinery moving and heavy rigging fields. He will be contributing to the Training & Field Services teams of ITI conducting training courses, accident investigations, and crane and rigging audits. Mr. Miles is a native of Scappoose, Oregon and began service with ITI on August 28, 2012.
- Pat Dower, Instructor - Mr. Dower will begin his career with ITI on October 1, 2012 and hails from Edmonton, Alberta. A construction safety professional, Mr. Dower began his career in industry as a Ticketed Pipefitter and Plumber. Mr. Dower has a great deal of rigging and safety-related experience in Alberta with some of the areas largest construction and modular fabrication organizations.
- Ken Klassen, Instructor - A seasoned Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Plumber, and Gasfitter, Mr. Klassen brings a great deal of rigging and lifting experience to education from the chemical, forestry, and oil/gas industries. Beginning service on October 1, 2012, Mr. Klassen is a native of Edmonton, Alberta and will be tasked with serving Western Canada clientele.

Industrial Training International (iti.com) held its sixth episode of the ITI Showcase Webinar Series on Thursday, August 2nd. The Series features ITI President/CEO Mike Parnell presenting monthly topics relevant to corporate stakeholders managing crane and rigging activities and personnel. There have now been more than 1,100 participants in the six webinars to-date.
On Thursday, the Lift Planning Considerations webinar had 242 registrants representing 22
countries, including 48 US States and 7 Canadian Provinces.

Industrial Training International (iti.com) held its fifth installment of the ITI Showcase Webinar Series on Wednesday, July 11th. This Series features ITI President/CEO Mike Parnell presenting topics relevant to decision-makers who are active in crane and rigging activities for their organizations. There have been over 900 unique participants in the five webinars to-date.
The July episode, ITI Master Rigger Course: Interactive Demo was distinctive from the previous webinars Registrants received a student workbook and rigging reference cards via email (PDF) – resources that they need to participate in the interactive rigging workshops with Mike.
On Wednesday, the webinar had 270 registrants representing 31 countries, including 43 US States and 7 Canadian Provinces.

The Association of Crane & Rigging Professionals met April 9-11, 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio for their annual General Assembly and Workshop. Over 70 industry participants attended workshops offered by The Crosby Group, North American Crane Bureau, Star Concrete, Samson Ropes, CARGOTEC, Progressive Cranes, Optimum Results and Smith Amundson. The participants enjoyed an educational field trip through Ohio’s largest rigging facility, Mazzella Lifting Products. The tour included short sessions addressing sling fabrication, development and construction of below-the-hook lifting devices and provided insight about Mazzella’s overhead crane manufacturing and service arm.
Subjects offered during the three-day event addressed accident response, crane classification, design, construction and inspection, electronic apps for rigging solutions, OSHA and the workplace, proper and improper pumper truck operations, synthetic rope sling usage and inspections, and process, modular and engineered cranes.
Maximum Capacity Media’s Tracy Bennett was on hand to present the Trainer of the Year awards for Corporate Trainer Bob Berry of Sims Cranes and Professional Trainer Jim Cox of Industrial Training International.
